From a solo GP practice in Letlhabile to a network of 4 medical practices and an emergency ambulance service — this is the Sampax Health 911 story.
Dr Sam Tjangase founded Sampax Health 911 in 2004 as a solo general practice in Letlhabile. Combining Western medical training with Eastern diagnostic modalities such as kinesiology, he built the practice on a simple belief: patients deserve care that treats the whole person — "Be made whole."
Under his leadership, Sampax Health 911 grew into a network of medical practices, its own registered ambulance service, and a dedicated Men's Health Clinic — while remaining true to its founding values of integrity, urgency, continuous improvement and patient-centeredness.
In 2021, Dr Tjangase was awarded Black Umbrellas Ambassador in recognition of Outstanding Entrepreneurship — an initiative of the Cyril Ramaphosa Foundation celebrating South Africa's top small business achievers.

Sampax registers and launches its own emergency ambulance service from Letlhabile.
The practice formalises as Sampax Health (Pty) Ltd.
On-site X-Ray diagnostics introduced at Letlhabile.
A 2nd practice opens in Ga-Rankuwa, a 3rd in Brits, with further growth into Tembisa and Atteridgeville.
Sampax completes Black Umbrellas induction, strengthening governance around BBBEE, consumer protection and companies act compliance — with the long-term goal of opening a hospital to uplift the community.
Dr Sam Tjangase is awarded Outstanding Entrepreneur — a Cyril Ramaphosa Foundation initiative.
The dedicated Men's Clinic unit opens its doors on 1 August 2022.
